The all-new Ibis Ripley SL is the "5-pound rocket on wheels" you’ve been waiting for. Bridging the gap between the World-Cup winning Exie and the legendary Ripley trail bike, the Ripley SL is a lightweight, short-travel powerhouse designed for speed, precision, and pure fun.

Handcrafted in Ibis’s solar-powered California factory, the Ripley SL features a sub-5lb carbon frame that doesn't sacrifice strength for weight. Whether you're hunting Strava KOMS on the climbs or railing berms at Chestnut Nature Park, the 117mm of DW-Link rear travel paired with a 130mm fork offers a "downcountry" ride feel that is ferociously smooth.

Size Specific Everything

Every rider deserves the same great ride feel, no matter their height or proportions. We use size-specific seat tube angles and suspension kinematics to bring incredible balance and speed to all size riders. Even chainstay length and bottom bracket height are tailored to each frame size.

5 Sizes

We've added a third size in the middle of the bell curve to provide a fit that’s just right. With 80% of our riders falling between 5’5” and 6’0”, we introduced a new "extra-medium" size. The extra-medium now sits in the middle of our size range, while our size five remains the traditional XL.

Internal Frame Storage

Get that gear off your back and into your bike with our frame storage system. The latch operates effortlessly, even in cold, muddy conditions while wearing gloves. The door is water-resistant, rattle-free, and robust.

We crafted a set of two internal bags for your snacks, tools, or whatever. We chose a manufacturing partner known for high-quality construction and PFAS free fabrics.

Integrated Swingarm Cable Guides

The Ripley SL features neat and tidy derailleur and brake hose management. This allows for easy swingarm removal without disconnecting the brakes lines. 

DW-Link Suspension

We continue to use the critically acclaimed dw-link suspension platform known for its efficient climbing and excellent downhill performance; it sets the standard for modern mountain bikes.

Our size-specific kinematics make sure every size bike pedals amazing while still keeping things ferociously smooth on challenging trails.

Burly 2.4 Tire Clearance

You can run overbuilt, chunky tires or you can run light, big volume fast tires. Whatever you run, you’re not limited by width.

2X Bottle Clearance

The Ripley SL has clearance for two water bottles inside the front triangle on frame sizes M–XL. The size small frame has room for a single tall bottle.
